SUICIDE PREVENTION AND AWARENESS

“A Resilient State of Mind” – Life Is Worth Living! To get straight to the point, suicide (the 3rd leading cause of death amongst 15-24 year olds according to the American Academy of Pediatrics) is the most extreme and unhealthiest response to life’s adversity, hardships, obstacles, disappointments and setbacks. Lester is committed to ensuring that our community’s teens and young adults have access to prevention, awareness, and exposure to the resiliency skills needed to bounce back from the odds that everyday life will present.

YOUR AUDIENCE WILL LEARN:

  • Why we must identify and embrace HOPE in everyday life
  • The 4 reasons most people give up in the face of life’s adversity
  • Why we must accept the fact that we don’t live in a perfect world
  • The 3 D’s to overcoming life’s adversity
IN LOVING MEMORY OF KAYELISA “KK” MARTIN AND OMOYELE GONZALEZ

Lester’s suicide prevention and awareness efforts are in loving memory of his 20-year-old cousin Kayelisa “KK” Martin and her 14-month-old son Omoyele “Lil Nemo” Gonzalez. Kayelisa Martin stepped into the path of a semi-truck on interstate 77 in Summit County, OH after her son was found deceased, which stemmed from internal injuries due to an automobile accident hours prior.

“Suicide does not end the Chances of Life getting Worse, Suicide eliminates the possibility of it ever getting better.”
